Fall is quickly approaching as the leaves start to change color and the temperature drops. Bucks County has plenty of festivals and events for you to get in the spirit of the season. It will be a scream getting ready for Halloween with all the ghoulish activities in the area!

· Through October 25- Love art? Stop by the 85th Annual Juried Art Exhibition sponsored by the Phillips’ Mill Community Association. This annual adjudication art show features work from some of the area’s best artists. Browse the beautiful pieces on display or take home something from the collection for your own.

· Through October 26- Bring the little ones and your best Halloween costumes to Sesame Place® for The Count’s Halloween Spooktacular, an annual Halloween tradition. Each year the nation’s only amusement park dedicated to the award-winning children’s television show Sesame Street® is turned into a not-so-spooky Halloween haven for children of all ages. Come together as a family to find your way through two mazes, take a thrilling hayride with your favorite furry friends and watch an exciting Neighborhood Street Party Halloween Parade.
· Through October 26- Bring the family and take a stroll among the scarecrows on display all month long in Peddler’s Village during their annual Scarecrow Competition & Display event! Vote for your favorites among the more than 100 scarecrows handmade by local businesses and organizations.

· Through November 2- Back for its 25th year, the grounds surrounding Phoenix Sport Club are turned into a den of terror known as the Valley of Fear. Your childhood scary stories are chillingly brought to life with brand-new spooks and scares and the Original Haunted Hayride is sure to make the hair raise on the back of your neck. Are you ready to enter the Valley of Fear? Careful, you may never return.
· Through November 2-The Haunted House in the Hollow sponsored by Midnight Productions is the perfect place for anyone wanting to get a fright this year. Try to survive the haunted halls of this real life ghost story and then walk through the spooky graveyard and crypt, if you dare. It’s a Halloween lover’s dream!
· October 3- Run the Fries Rebellion 5K through Quakertown to promote a healthy lifestyle and a local charity. The race, which starts at the Upper Bucks Chamber of Commerce, celebrates the history of John Fries who protested rising property taxes with several hundred farmers in 1799.
· September 29-October 31- Fall into the spirit of the season at Shady Brook Farm with their annual PumpkinFest. Pick out your perfect pumpkin and see if you can make your way through the Giant Corn Maze. Stay for more fun, including barn yard animals, giant jumping pillows and live entertainment!
· October 4- Join the Artists of Yardley for live music during their annual ARTober Outdoor Music Festival. The all-day live music festival features the Abundance art show as well as food trucks, a chance auction and craft artists, making this event something you don’t want to miss!
· October 4- Come down to the Bucks County Playhouse to enjoy the musical stylings of celebrated singer Linda Eder during the Bucks County Cabaret concert. Sip on cocktails, enjoy a wonderful live performance and participate in a live auction during this fun theatrical event benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
· October 5- Are you a foodie at heart? Don’t miss the pie-eating contest or chili cook off during the 23rd Annual Fall Festival hosted by the Perkasie Olde Towne Association. Celebrate the season with pony rides, a petting zoo, demonstrations by local crafters and artisans, live entertainment and more!
· October 10-October 25- If you’re a fan of horror, catch a terrifyingly good performance of The Haunting of Hill House sponsored by the Town and Country Players. Nothing is as it seems in this play about a group of “psychically receptive” people brought into an old Victorian mansion to find evidence of the paranormal. Cling to the edge of your seat as you watch the drama and horror unfold.
· October 11- History comes alive at the 38th Annual Market Day hosted by the Newtown Historic Association. Step back in time with historical re-enactors from The First Crossing Volunteers, classic colonial games and candle dipping for children. More than 50 crafters, vendors and entertainers will be spread throughout Historic Newtown during this fun community event.
· October 11- Take a walk through the many antique buildings throughout the “Village That Time Forgot” during Historic Fallsington Day at Historic Fallsington. Take a guided tour of the perfectly preserved buildings in this 300-year-old town and learn about the history of the area. Enjoy performances of Colonial and Native American dancing, crafts and more!
· October 18- Understand how the Delaware River helped shape the historic town of Bristol during the 38th Annual Historic Bristol Day & Car Show, sponsored by Bristol Cultural and Historical Foundation. This free, family-friendly street fair features a variety of arts and craft vendors, food vendors and entertainers, children’s games, a sailing regatta on the Delaware River, a car show and much more!
· October 18- Support local living history in Warminster at the Crooked Billet 5K, Health Walk & One-Mile Fun Run hosted by the Craven Historical Society. Not a runner? No problem! Participate in the one mile fun run with a playground at the beginning and the end of the race so everyone in the family can have fun!
· October 18- Love architecture, history and gardens? Then the 24th Annual Trinity Autumn House Tour is perfect for you! Sponsored by Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve, this historic house tour takes visitors through five beautiful houses and two other locations to learn the inside scoop on the architecture and generations of family history.
· October 18- Celebrate the beautiful colors of fall during the 15th Annual Autumn Alive!. The streets of Quakertown come to life during this family-friendly festival featuring music, games, prizes, crafts, beer tastings, a pet parade and more. This event is pet-friendly, so bring your favorite furry friend along for the fun!
· October 25- Dress up your favorite pet and come out to the Quakertown Farmers Market and Flea Market for their Annual Halloween Costume Contest & Trick or Treat event. Try to win Best Dressed for your costume, participate in a pumpkin pie eating contest or put your best pumpkin forward for the chance to win Best Carved Pumpkin!
October 26- The beauty of song is on display at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church during “My soul, there is a country” Sacred Poetry in Song. Watch performances by the Bucks County Choral Society as they perform Hubert Parry’s 1918 masterpiece “Songs of Farewell.” ’h
