AZZ Logistics seeks to build a 5,000-square-foot garage and office building, according to the plans.

The garage would be used for storage and maintenance of tractor-trailers owned by the business.

The proposed parking lot would have ample space to park the tractor-trailers, without any backup
onto Somerton Road.

In order, to build this garage and office, AZZ Logistics is seeking several variances to disturb some slopes on the property.

The company also seeks a variance to permit motor vehicle trucking yard or terminal use, heavy equipment storage and/or repair facilities use, which is permitted only in the general industrial district, which abuts the property.

AZZ Logistics said the variances, if granted, would not change the character of the neighborhood, nor have an adverse impact on public health, safety, and welfare. It also would not substantially or permanently impair the appropriate use or development of adjacent properties.
