Our Climb To 105 Heat Index In Bensalem

An excessive heat warning remains in effect until 8 p.m. Monday, the National Weather Service said. Heat index values could hit 105 this afternoon, forecasters said.

The excessive heat and humidity will become a danger if proper precautions are not taken, the NWS said.

According to Weather.com, temperatures will spike to the mid-90s around 3 p.m. The heat index will make it feel as hot as 105 outside, the National Weather Service said.

Even by 7 p.m., forecasters expect temperatures to linger in the low 90s.

At 11 p.m., it will still be about 80 degrees in the region, Weather.com predicts.

Little relief is expected Tuesday, when temperatures in the mid-90s are expected.

Monday: Isolated thunderstorms after 1pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 93. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Tuesday: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 91. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 85.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 83.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 84.
