Parx Casino Opening Second Location In Shippensburg Friday
The Bensalem Township-based operation said the new casino will be the only one in Cumberland County when it opens.

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —Parx Casino will open its second location in Shippensburg on Friday.
The grand opening of the casino is anticipated to open at 10 a.m. Friday, pending the Pennsylvania Gambling Control Board testing and approval.
When it opens, the new casino will be the only one in Cumberland County, Parx officials announced in a press release.

Mandated testing days started at the casino on Monday, Parx officials said. All revenues from the slots on testing days will be donated to local charities.
Parx Casino Shippensburg is owned and operated by Greenwood Racing, Inc, which owns and operates Parx Casino on Street Road in Bensalem Township.

The casino will feature 73,000 square feet of space with 500 slot machines, 48 electronic table games, and the Liberty Bar and Grill.
The new first-class, 100-seat restaurant, bar, and dining destination will be open to the public, with an entrance inside the casino, as well as an external entrance.
The menu will feature fresh stone-baked pizzas made to order in an onsite, live fire oven as well as burgers, sandwiches, and your favorite comfort food such as chicken parmigiana, spaghetti and meatballs, fish and chips and much more.
The casino will also feature sports wagering kiosks to bet on college and professional sporting events.
Parx Casino Shippensburg is expected to create more than 50 new jobs in the Central Pennsylvania marketplace.
Weekday hours are Mondays to Thursdays, from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. with weekend hours starting Fridays at 10 a.m. and staying open 24/7 until 2 a.m. Sunday.
Opening ceremonies include a ribbon cutting and remarks from officials.
