Real Housewife of NY Star Kelly Bensimon Gives Local NJ Woman a Makeover!

Real Housewives of NY Star Kelly Killoren Bensimon acted as celebrity stylist for a day during a recent appearance at DoubleTake Luxury Consignment Shop in Short Hills, NJ.

Bensimon is a noted author, trendsetter, model and influential editor of Elle Accessories. The New York Times Magazine counts her as one of the “most fabulous tastemakers.” Bensimon spent several hours at DoubleTake helping local shoppers get that runway look for less.

“I usually shop at their Englewood store, but came here today to get some style tips from Kelly for my upcoming performances,” said Cynthia Holiday, a jazz and blues vocalist from Fort Lee, NJ.

With a refreshingly modern sensibility, Kelly translates trends and contemporary culture for the public, with a unique take that is fresh, playful, and always accessible.

“DoubleTake has enjoyed a 15 year relationship with Kelly, and I was very happy that we could host her event to help her promote her newest ventures,” said Doubletake Owner Marci Kessler.
“We had an overwhelmingly positive response form our customers and community.”

When asked where trends are head, Kelly noted there are six key tips for building this year’s fall wardrobe, including:

OVERSIZED: Get big and bold this season with great new HUGE proportions. Bigger is better!
STRAIGHT COATS: We know you have curves, and this season the jacket doesn’t show them, it hides them. Don’t cinch that waist, keep it STRAIGHT
FAIR ISLES: Get cozy in your Fair lsles and chunky sweaters. Its getting cozy, get the marshmallows ready. Fur required.
