The holiday season is upon us, so where is the best spot in the region to cut your own Christmas tree? Check out these places.
PHILADELPHIA — The holidays are here. So where are you and the family going to get your tree?
Well, Patch has some of the best spots in the region to cut down your own Christmas tree.
The farms and nurseries below are good spots for a family outing to pick your own trees this season:

Delaware County
Linvilla Orchards, 598 Linvilla Road, Media
Delaware County's most popular farm is offering cut-you-own tree services now through Dec. 23. Hours for cutting your own tree are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends. It costs $79.99 plus tax to choose and cut your own tree.

Chester County
Dan's Tree Farm, 595 Pikeland Ave., Spring City
Dan's is open 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday. Saturday's hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday's hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Wiggins Trees, 1257 Westtown Thornton Road, West Chester and 2176 Gap Newport Pike, Cochranville
Both Wiggins locations are open for choose-and-cut trees from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends. The West Chester location costs $60 to cut your own tree and the Cochranville location costs $50 for cut your own trees. Customers are responsible for cutting the tree down and dragging it out of the field (carts are available on a limited basis) and Wiggins will supply saws, hole in the bottom of the tree (if needed), baling and stringing to secure trees on vehicles.
Yeager's Tree Farm, 1109 Western Road, Phoenixville
Yeager's offers cut your own trees and even provide a hay ride to the field if walking in the cold isn't your thing. The farm is open from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, and 11 a.m. 7:30 p.m. on Mondays. Tree prices vary based on type and size.
Clark’s Christmas Tree Farm and Christmas Shop, 351 Pusey Mill Road, Cochranville
Clark's offers Fraser Firs, Douglas Firs, Canaan Firs, Korean Firs and White Spruces for families to cut down on their own. The farm is open from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Fridays, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays. Clark's also has a Christmas shop with a wide variety of Christmas products.
Marsh Creek Tree Farm, 301 March Road, Elverson
This Elverson farm offers Frazier, Canaan, and Douglas Firs as well as Blue and Norway Spruce trees. Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends. Saws are provided.
Old Stone Farm, 959 Chesterville Road, Lewisville and 688 Strickersville Road, Landenberg
Old Stone Farm has cut your own Douglas, concolor, and Fraser firs. Trees cost $55. For those looking to get trees from Old Stone, weekend sales are done at the Chesterville Road entrance and weekday sale at the Strickersville Road entrance.
Tricolor Tree Farm, 1480 Hall Road, West Chester
Cut your own tree service is available at this West Chester farm from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Fridays through Sundays. Douglas Fir, Blue Spruce, Hemlock, and White Pine are all available. Saws will be provided.
Schmidt’s Tree Farm, 1741 Flint Hill Road, Landenberg
Schmidt’s is open for cut your own trees from noon to 4:30 p.m. weekdays and 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekends. Available specimens are Douglas fir, Colorado spruce or Fraser fir trees. And you can visit reindeer while there.
Montgomery County
Boswell's Tree Farm, 1093 N. Grange Ave., Collegeville and the corner of Mill and Collegeville roads
Boswell's has been offering cut-you-own tree service for 70 years and is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and from 9 a.m. to dusk on weekends. The Mill Road location is only open on weekends. Prices are $8 per foot for Douglas Firs, true Firs and Blue Spruces. Norway and White Spruces cost $7 per foot.
Heylmun's Pine Hill Farm, 1174 Sheep Hill Road, Pottstown
Pine Hill Farm is open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Firdays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. It costs just $37.75 for most trees in the field. Larger and more perfect specimens are individually priced, higher.
Corkum Tree Farm, 797 Bridge Road, Collegeville
Blue spruce, Norway, and Engleman spruce, white pines, and Douglas firs are available at Corkum Tree Farm. Prices are $8.50 per foot. The farm is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends. Saws are provided.
Varner Farms, 797 Bridge Road, Collegeville
Varner's cut-your-own tree service is available 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays.
Hague’s Christmas Trees, 755 Forty Food Road, Hatfield
Hague's in Hatfield is open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays for cut your own tree service. Tree offered include Nordmann fir, Scotch pine, white pine, white spruce and blue spruce. Carts and saws are provided.
Bucks County
Colavita Christmas Tree Farm, 1761 Dolington Road, Morrisville
This farm is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. However, the "choose and cut" fields close each night at 4:30 p.m., so visiting on weekends may be better for the busy family. Regardless of tree variety or size, the cost is a flat $70.
McArdle's Holiday Farm, 4316 Mechanicsville Road, Doylestown
McArdles is open 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Weekend hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cut-your-own trees range from $60 to $125 depending on tree height. Various spruces, Fraser firs, Eastern White pines, and Scotch pines are available.
Tuckamony Farm, 6320 Upper York Road, New Hope
This 91-year-old farm is offering choose and cut trees for $59 (shorter than 10 feet) and $79 (more than 10 feet). Numerous fir and spruce varieties are available. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
A.G.A. Farms, 1333 Elephant Road, Perkasie
Open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., A.G.A Farms has several varieties of trees you can cut yourself. They are white pine, Scotch pine, Norway spruce, Colorado spruce, and Douglas fir.
