Scammer Selling Vendor Slots To Bensalem Fall Festival: Officials

Bensalem Township officials said they are not accepting vendors for Sunday's event and that residents should report the scam to the police.

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —Beware of scammers for Sunday's Family Fall Festival, township officials warn.

Bensalem Township officials said they've been made aware of a scammer trying to claim that there are vendor spots available for the rescheduled Family Fall Festival to be held on Sunday, Oct. 9.

"This is a scam," the township stated on its Facebook page. "We are not accepting vendors for this event."

Officials said someone is privately messaging individuals who have been looking for information regarding vendor availability and asking them to send $50 via PayPal to reserve a spot.

The family fall festival was rescheduled to Sunday due to Hurricane Ian.

The annual Family Fall Festival takes place starting at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9, at the Bensalem Township Municipal Complex on 2400 Byberry Road.

A concert on the amphitheater stage is planned for 6 p.m. with fireworks to follow at 8:15 p.m.

Officials said if a resident receives a message from the scammer, they should report them immediately.
