Services In Bensalem For Teen Fatally Hit By Car While Walking To Carnival

Services for a 15-year-old Churchville native who was fatally hit by a car late last month in New Jersey will be held in Bensalem.

Services for a 15-year-old Churchville native who was fatally hit by a car late last month in New Jersey will be held in Bucks County.

Gavyn Connolly, a high school freshman at Timber Creek Regional High School in Sicklerville, N.J., was hit by a car while crossing the road on the way to a carnival on Saturday, April 23, Washington Township police said.

She was taken to the Cooper University Trauma center for treatment, where she passed away two days later.

Services are scheduled for May 10 in Bensalem.

Gavyn C. Connolly of Sicklerville, N.J. and Churchville, Pa., was taken from us on Monday April 25, 2016. Gavyn was struck by a car and later passed from her injuries. She was 15.

Born May 7, 2000 in Langhorne, Pa., she was the loving daughter of Christopher M. Connolly (Courtney) and Michelle Irvine (Chris); granddaughter of Michael J. Connolly (Lynn) and Yvonne Connolly-Miller (Kevin) and Barry and Virginia Irvine; and sister of Tyler Connolly, Jordyn and Danica. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Gavyn was loved by all.

A Catholic Mass will be celebrated at 5 p.m., Tuesday, May 10 at St. Ephrem Church in Bensalem, Pa., followed by a Celebration of Life gathering of family and friends at The Bensalem Country Club Rose Room.

In lieu of flowers, our family would prefer donations be made to the N.J. Sharing Network in Gavyn's honor.
