Winning Bensalem Robotics Team To Host Next Competition
Fresh off of a district competition victory, the Fighting Robotic Owls will be hosting one of their own on March 30-31.

BENSALEM, PA — Fresh off of their victory at a recent district competition, the Fighting Robotic Owls of Bensalem High School will be hosting a contest of their own later this month.
Bensalem High School will be the site of its first-ever FIRST Robotics district competition on March 30-31. FIRST (For Inspiration of Science and Technology) is an international competition that combines the excitement of athletics with the rigors of robotic science and tech skills.
Under strict rules and with limited resources, student-run teams are challenged to raise funds, hone their teamwork sills and build and program robots to perform prescribed tasks against a field of competitors.

Professional mentors volunteer their time and talents to guide the teams.
At the BHS event, there will be qualification matches on Saturday and Sunday morning, followed by elimination rounds on Sunday afternoon. The Owls will have home-field advantage after recently taking top honors at a district competition at Hatboro-Horsham High School.
