• Lost chicken becomes temporary police recruit following road rescue in Pittsburgh area (wgal.com) — Bethel Park police briefly “recruited” a loose chicken they found wandering in a center lane, jokingly naming her Lt. McQuail while they search for her owner. Officers say the bird is safe at the station, even “supervising” dispatch, and are asking anyone missing a Plymouth Rock chicken to call the department to claim her.
