  • WHY GO: This musical has much more to do with the romantic love triangle between the American and Russian chess champions during the Cold War than it does with pawns, bishops or rooks.  If you love ABBA, you will love the musical score to which this musical is set.

PEAS & Q’S FAMILY HOUR )

  • WHERE/WHEN: The Steel Stacks, 101 Founders Way, Bethlehem, Saturday 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
  • WHY GO: This inspirational performance by the Pennsylvania Youth Theatre of Tomás & The Library Lady, tells the story of the how the son of migrant farm workers learns to love reading after befriending a librarian.

DOGGIE DAY (DOWNTOWN BETHLEHEM ASSOCIATION)

  • WHERE/WHEN: 10:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
  • WHY GO: Strut your pup on Main Street at the Doggie Halloween Parade, registration begins at 10:30 a.m. Enjoy the Doggie Day bar or take your dog for a walk through the markets where there will be demonstrations, outdoor dining and pet photos.  
  • PRICING: $10.00 per dog, per category – pet owner look alike, scariest costume, most creative, spirit of Bethlehem and open.

 

VALLEY CONTRA DANCING ()

  • WHERE/WHEN: Unitarian Universalist Church of The Lehigh Valley, 424 Center St, Bethlehem Saturday, 7:00 p.m.
  • WHY GO: Kick up you heals and dance to live acoustic music. Bring a partner or meet one there. Everyone ages 7 to “still kicking” are welcome.  New comers, arrive at 7:00 p.m. to learn the calls.
  • PRICING: Admission $9 per adult, $5 per student.
