Alleged Crack Dealer Tried to Run From Police

A Bethlehem man was jailed Wednesday on drug charges after city police served a search warrant on his house.

Gregory Fluker, 36, was at home Wednesday afternoon when officers from the department's special operations/vice unit came to serve the search warrant.

Police say Fluker fled out the back door of his home at 530 E. Locust St., but was apprehended a few blocks away. According to court records, officers saw Fluker throw a bag of crack onto the ground just before his arrest.

Inside Fluker's home, police found more crack, plus materials for packaging the drug, some marijuana, and a .357 handgun.

Fluker is charged with possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a small amount of marijuana, and unlawful firearms possession.

He was arraigned before on-duty District Judge Daniel Corpora in Easton and sent to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $40,000 bail.
