44 Deposits Placed in Two Hours for New Homes at Lehigh Valley 55 and Over Community
More Than 100 Home Buyers Vie to Reserve Lots in Newest Bethlehem 55+ Community
Roughly 250 55 and over home buyers turned out last night to learn about Traditions of America at Bridle Path, Traditions of America’s newest Bethlehem location. The unprecedented presales response resulted in 44 deposits within two hours. Traditions of America had planned an initial release of 54 lots within the master planned community, but added homesites during the night to meet demand. (204 single family homes are planned in all.)

“The interest in our newest 55 and over community has been nothing short of extraordinary,” said David Biddison, Director of Operations. “To have so many active adults fully committed to a new home at Traditions of America at Bridle Path is exciting and a positive sign for the Lehigh Valley housing market.”

The presales event allowed prospective home buyers to claim their desired homesite. Active adults were invited by priority number to place a pin on a community site plan indicating their choice. More than 100 priority numbers had been handed out over two weeks leading up to the event and prospects were given tours of the site on Bridle Path Road in Bethlehem. At the end of the night, 44 deposits were placed by holders of priority numbers.
Joe and Anne Chickey of Bethlehem were among the first to officially reserve a new home at the new 55 and over community, placing their pin – and plans for the future – on lot #72.
“We had seen the great quality of homes at Traditions of America’s other Bethlehem community and were excited for the opportunity to buy new in our own neighborhood,” said Joe Chickey. (The Chickeys currently live within walking distance of the site.) The couple is thinking of customizing the Washington floor plan they selected with a sunroom to maximize the view of the rolling hills at the neighboring St. Francis Center.
While the Chickeys and several other depositors were from the Lehigh Valley, the event also attracted several from New Jersey. James and Kelley Mihalakis held priority number 8 and put their deposit on two story home plan with “plenty of room for the grandkids,” said Kelley. She’s excited to explore the Lehigh Valley with visiting family and for the convenience of Bridle Path to favorite spots back in New Jersey.
Traditions of America executives have expanded the initial neighborhood to meet market demand. Active adults interested in Bridle Path are invited to a November 11 Grand Opening Event. Details are at http://www.toaBridlePath.com.
