For Immediate Release 1/9/13 Zoellner Arts Center and Lehigh University Department of Music present Helen Beedle, piano with Marco Biaggio, cello and champion dancers Robert and Nicola Royston on Sunday, January 20 at 3 pm in Baker Hall.

Helen Beedle collaborates with cellist Marco Biaggio and champion dancers Robert and Nicola Royston.  The concert features the solo works of Chopin, Strauss/Dohnanyi, Poulenc, Thalberg and Gottschalk.  Marco Biaggio, who performs David Popper’s showpiece for cello, “Dance of the Elves”, will also perform with Beedle as the Roystons dance to Faure’s “Sicilienne”, the passionate Argentine tango music of Piazzolla and others.

Helen Beedle specializes in the music of mid-19th century in America, and has been featured on numerous PBS broadcasts.  Her recordings have been used for the acclaimed HBO series, “Big Love,” and she has developed concerts and performances that feature distinct and unique collaborations with other artistic genres. Her music has been used for sound tracks, multimedia exhibits in museums and her recordings have been sold across the United States.  Beedle is a publishing member of ASCAP, and a graduate of New England Conservatory of Music, Boston, MA.

Marco Biaggio, age 12, is a pre-college student at Julliard where he studies with Maestro Andre Emelianoff.  He made his solo orchestral debut in September 2012, performing Boccherini’s B flat Major cello concerto with the New York Concerti Sinfonietta.  Biaggio has performed at Weill Recital Hall and other venues in New York.  He also studied with Dominick Fiore, was a guest performer with the Salerni Trio and had the honor to perform privately for Maestro Bernard Greenhouse.  Biaggio studies piano with Helen Beedle at Lehigh University, and resides in Bethlehem with his family Paola and Ivan, who are both Professors in the Physics Department at Lehigh University.

Robert and Nicola Royston have choreographed for Taylor Swift, and have worked in television, film, as well as live performances at Lincoln Center and others.  These include appearances on "The Today Show," performances on Broadway, choreography and film credits for the movie “Love n’Dancing” and numerous other appearances.  The Roystons compete, teach and judge all over the world and have won numerous World and US Open titles in dance.
