
Attorney announces judicial candidacy
Bethlehem Township, PA January 30, 2013: Attorney Jennifer R. Sletvold, a Bethlehem Township resident and lawyer with Lauer & Sletvold law firm in Easton, announces her candidacy for Judge of the Northampton County Court of Common Pleas in the upcoming election. In announcing her candidacy, Sletvold indicated that she decided to run “because I am dedicated to the ideal of a fair and efficient bench. As a parent, teacher and lawyer in Northampton County, I believe that I have a unique understanding of the challenges that our community and the courts will face over the next ten years and beyond.”
Sletvold graduated summa cum laude from West Chester University with a degree in Criminal Justice in 1994, and cum laude from the Dickinson School of Law in 1997. She served for two years as a law clerk to now Chief Justice Ronald D. Castille of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. She has since been in private practice representing businesses, employers and individuals with a wide variety of legal matters in state and federal court. Sletvold is also an adjunct professor at Northampton Community College, teaching Contracts Law, Business Law I and II and Law for Emergency Services.

Sletvold lives in Bethlehem Township with her husband, United States Army veteran and attorney Robert E. Sletvold and their two young sons. Attorney Sletvold stated that she “looks forward to a campaign in which she meets as many voters of Northampton County in person as possible in order to better know their concerns with the judicial system and to make the system more responsive to the needs of every resident of Northampton County.”
