Luminaria Night – December 8, 2012
Be the light in your neighbor’s darkest hour
LUMINARIA NIGHT 2012
Bethlehem, PA October 3, 2012 - New Bethany Ministries would like to announce the upcoming Luminaria Night on Saturday, December 8th from sundown thru the evening hours.
About Luminaria Night
Luminaria Night is a beautiful and enchanted evening when neighborhoods line their streets with luminaria – white bags illuminated by votive candles. The luminaria are a symbol of unity and caring for those less fortunate. Luminaria Night started in 1998 in a small neighborhood to benefit one family in need. Today, Luminaria Night has grown into a valley-wide event connecting neighborhoods together in a beautiful evening of light and giving. All of proceeds from the sale of Luminaria kits, go to New Bethany Ministries, benefiting thousands of individuals and families in need.
About New Bethany Ministries
New Bethany Ministries is located in the Lehigh Valley. Its mission is to provide care, services, and facilities to the homeless, the hungry, the mentally-challenged, and the poor. Aside from providing breakfast and lunch daily, New Bethany Ministries is the only agency in Bethlehem where two-parent homeless families are able to live together. The goal of New Bethany Ministries is to provide services and tools needed to secure a sustainable way of life, giving individuals and families a hand up, not a hand out.
