
Meals On Wheels of Northampton County announced Tuesday that it will be holding Mayors For Meals Day as a part of its March For Meals campaign. Mayors Desiree DeNicola, Nazareth, Mayor Luke Duignan, Tatamy, Thomas Reenock, Northampton and Donald Wunderler, Bath will be participating in the event to show their support for our community’s homebound and hungry seniors.
Meals On Wheels of Northampton County's Mayors For Meals Day event on Wednesday, March 20, will start at 9:45 am and will include: A tour of the Meals On Wheels facility at 4240 Fritch Drive in Bethlehem; mayors helping to put together cold bag dinners and delivering meals to seniors in our community.
"We are excited about having the Mayors participate in our Mayors for Meals Day event. We are so grateful that many return every year to join us on this special day," said JoAnn Bergeron Nenow, Executive Director. Mayors for Meals is part of March for Meals which is a national campaign launched by Meals On Wheels Association of America in March to raise awareness about senior hunger and to encourage support of Meals On Wheels programs in communities throughout the United States.

March for Meals is promoted by Meals On Wheels organizations in the country, like Meals On Wheels of Northampton County, through public events, partnerships with local businesses, volunteer recruitment and fundraising activities. Mayors for Meals is a component of “March for Meals” and allows us the opportunity to invite and recognize the involvement and support of local Mayors and other local elected officials.
Meals On Wheels of Northampton County is a private, non profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization which has been providing meals to home-bound seniors and disabled adults since 1972.
