Community Corner

Medical Students and Girl Scouts Come Together for Seniors.

On Monday, January 21st, as part of their service projects in the community, 30 medical students from St. Luke’s University Hospital came to Meals On Wheels of Northampton County to complete a variety of craft projects with local Girl Scouts.  The projects included making Valentine cupcake refrigerator magnets, tissue holders, holiday cards that are distributed throughout the year to seniors receiving meals.  The greeting cards give the staff of Meals On Wheels the opportunity to extend our best wishes on holidays such as Christmas, Hanukkah, Easter, Passover and Valentine’s
Day.

A lunch was provided to all those participating in this effort and an educational tour and presentation were enjoyed by the medical
students.
