Bethlehem, PA—Avantor™ Performance Materials, a global provider of performance chemistries and materials headquartered in Center Valley, recently provided $2,000 in funding to a South Bethlehem Food Pantry operated by the Hispanic Center of the Lehigh Valley.
The funding will be used to purchase food for the pantry, which supports families in need living in Bethlehem’s Southside. The pantry is located at 520 E. Fourth Street, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. It is open to Southside residents on the first Wednesday of every month, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., and the third Saturday of every month, from 1 to 3 p.m. Proof of residence is required.
“We are appreciative and happy to accept the funding from Avantor,” said Lorna Velázquez, executive director, Hispanic Center Lehigh Valley. “This gift is an example of how local businesses, through philanthropy, can help the food pantry continue to serve our community in a time of great need. This gift will be used to purchase food.”
