BASD Board Reorganizes, Seeks Ninth Member
Basilio Bonilla, Sudantha Vidanage sworn in as new members, Mike Faccinetto elected president.
The Bethlehem Area School Board swore in two new members, Sudantha Vidanage and Basilio Bonilla along with re-elected directors Michele Cann and Eugene McKeon at their reorganization meeting Monday evening.
After the oaths were administered by Judge Paula Roscioli, board members unanimously voted Michael Faccinetto as board president, and former board president Michele Cann as vice-president.
Cann, who had run as both an at-large and District 2 candidate and was chosen by voters for both slots, formally relinquished her District 2 position Monday evening as well.

The board is now seeking to appoint a ninth member, whose term will run through the end of 2013.

The deadline is this Thursday, Dec. 8 at noon.
The board will then interview candidates and is expected to choose the ninth member at a special meeting to be called before year's end, Gober said.
