Bethlehem Named No. 1 'Most Amazing' Christmas Town in America

When thinking of towns with Christmas-related names, most would probably think of Christmas, Florida, Santa Claus, Indiana, or North Pole, Alaska, before they thought about Bethlehem. But it takes more than a great name to be called the best Christmas town in America.

Cincinnati-based website Impulcity has compiled the 17 most amazing Christmas towns in America and Bethlehem tops the list. According to its website, Impulcity’s mission is “to empower local discovery of amazing events, activities, food and drink.”

The list said having the name Bethlehem was a good starting point, but gave the city the nod because of its Christmas spirit. Being nicknamed The Christmas City probably didn’t hurt either.

“..It’s (Bethlehem is) completely dedicated to keeping big business out of the holiday season, and sticking to original Christmas traditions,” the website’s list said. “It seems like there’s something going on every day of December to get people into the holiday spirit.”

Another Pennsylvania town made the top five, with Paradise, Pennsylvania, making it in at No. 5. Santa Claus, Indiana, was No. 7, North Pole, Alaska, was No. 10 and Christmas, Florida, didn’t make the list.
