The third annual Bicycling Fall Classic, presented by Specialized, is set for Sunday, Oct. 6, in the Lehigh Valley. Four distances are available for cyclists of all skill levels, with a chance to finish Roubaix style, with a victory lap at the iconic “T-Town” velodrome, the Valley Preferred Cycling Center in Trexlertown, PA.
Registration for Fall Classic is now open at www.bicycling.com/fallclassic.
Fees will increase on August 1, and anyone registering before July 1 will receive a Road ID eCard ($20 value).

"The Fall Classic traverses the quietest and most beautiful roads in the area," said Peter Flax, Bicycling editor-in-chief. "Plus, we've designed the event to cater to riders of all skill levels: From the beginner who wants to ride with the family to the seasoned endurance road cyclist.”
The Fall Classic also features an opportunity to ride with retired cyclist George Hincapie, who will ride on Sunday as well as participate in a VIP ride and reception Saturday, Oct. 5 at Bear Creek Mountain Resort in Macungie, PA. Tickets for the Hincapie VIP experience are available during the Fall Classic registration process and are limited.

The Fall Classic is headlined by a 90-mile Gran Fondo, which includes chip timing on the hills and prizes for top climbers. There are also 10-mile, 25-mile and 50-mile distances along scenic routes in the Lehigh Valley for varied speed and ability levels. The courses will feature nutritional, mechanical and medical support while the post-ride party at the Velodrome features a healthy lunch, free beer, live music and free massage.
About the Bicycling Fall Classic The 2013 Bicycling Fall Classic, presented by Specialized, is operated by Rodale Inc.’s Bicycling Magazine. The event, set for Oct. 6, starts and finishes at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center in Trexlertown, and features 10-mile, 25-mile, 50-mile and 90-mile rides, beginning at 8 am. In addition to Specialized, the Bicycling Fall Classic is supported by Giordana, Topeak, MRI, NOW Energy Bars and Wild Planet.
