SouthSide Film Festival Celebrates 10 years of Independent Films from Around the World
SSFF Kicks off its 10th Year with a look into the lives of "The Beatles," live Q&A with film makers and directors from around the world, and the charming SSFF Children's Film Series is back!

Last night marked the kick off to the 10th annual SouthSide Film Festival. The festival features films from across the nation and world as well as Q&A sessions with the filmmakers.
After an engaging kick-off party held at the Comfort Suites, the festival opened with feature film "Good Ol Freda" a documentary that featured the story of The Beatles as seen through the eyes of thier former Fan Club secretary Freda. This film is a must see. Its 1 hour and 26 minutes long and is filled with funy stories, spectacular music and a gripping look into Freda's and The Beatles "Behind the Scenes" life.
In addition to all the great films being show during the festival, SSFF is responsible for bringing in directors and film makers from around the world. Last night I met Jacqueline Van Vugt, director of "Mama Don't Like Gutiar Pickers Round Here". Jacqueline is here from Amsterdam. I had the opportunity to talk with her while walking to the feature film. She remarked on how beautiful Bethlehem is and how she had never been to a "small town" in the United States. She mentioned that the SSFF crew and the city had been very welcoming and she was enjoying her time here.
