Join Mark Harris – award-winning journalist and former environmental
columnist with the Los Angeles Times Syndicate – to discuss the “green burial”
movement and his acclaimed book, Grave Matters: A Journey Through the
Modern Funeral Industry to a Natural Way of Burial (2007, Scribner). Grave
Matters is the first book to explore the environmental consequences of
modern burial in North America and to showcase the natural alternatives that
are available to everyone today. Open to all with registration required.
Mr. Harris is a recognized authority on the “green burial” movement and the
modern funeral industry. He has been a guest on Terry Gross’ NPR show Fresh
Air and has appeared on CNN, MSNBC and ABC World News.
