Catch a Leprechaun, Win a Prize
The Celtic Cultural Alliance is asking all of you to build a better leprechaun trap. The best trap wins two tickets to the St. Patrick's Day tent party.

The Celtic Cultural Alliance suspects that a leprechaun has moved into the Lehigh Valley. If you can help the organizers of the city’s second catch him, you can win a prize.
The builder of the best “leprechaun trap” will win a pair of tickets to the festival tent for the St. Patrick’s Day party after the parade under the Hill-to-Hill Bridge.

For those of you who don’t know, a leprechaun is a tiny Irish Elf resembling an old man with a top hat and red beard. Leprechauns are mischievous fellows who enjoy playing silly pranks on people. Legend says leprechauns have a secret pot of gold hidden at the end of a rainbow and if you catch one he will lead you to it.

Entries in the form of photos of your leprechaun trap will be accepted on the Celtic Cultural Alliance’s Facebook page. The photos must be submitted through the “Leprechaun Trap Contest” photo album on the Facebook page. You have until March 16 to enter.
The overall winner will be the contestant with the most “likes” on their leprechaun trap photo.

The contest page offers a few tips for building and baiting your trap:
- Leprechauns love rainbows so use them around your trap.
- Color your trap green or gold and decorate it with stickers, glitter, etc.
- Leprechauns are also attracted to four leaf clovers.
- Leprechauns like Lucky Charms, like shamrocks and horseshoes!
- Don't forget to add a wee bit of bait like some chocolate coins, or gold painted rocks to lure the greedy little leprechaun.
