Chesterbrook Academy Campers Donate 500 Books to Literacy Program

Campers held a book drive to benefit Cops 'n' Kids Children's Literacy Program

Summer campers at Chesterbrook Academy Preschool on High Point Boulevard in Bethlehem recently delivered more than 500 books to the Cops ‘n’ Kids Children’s Literacy Program. For the past month, campers held a book drive to benefit the Cops ‘n’ Kids Reading Room, at Northampton Community College, which is open to the public and provides a place for children and families to read together, share stories and select a free book to take home. Through this initiative, campers learned the importance of helping children in need.

The Cops ‘n’ Kids Children’s Literacy Program ensures that every child has access to books, encourages positive relationships between children and police, and inspires creative learning for children and families by providing meaningful literacy-based experiences.
