City Sues to Stop Pension for Suspended Officer
Officer fired gun in police locker room in December.

The city of Bethlehem has sued to reverse the granting of a disability pension to a police officer who was suspended after allegedly firing a gun in the police locker room in December, according to this report in The Morning Call.
The pension board approved the pension for Jeffrey Rogers in July. Rogers said the side effects from his recent prostatectomy made him unfit to continue working as a patrolman.
Rogers was suspended following the Dec. 30 incident in which he fired his gun into the ceiling of the police locker room below City Hall.
