Residents and staff of Traditions of Hanover raised $1,000 and provided three wigs for the Cancer Support Community of the Greater Lehigh Valley.

“The Cancer Support Community of the Greater Lehigh Valley appreciates this community partnership and is grateful for this generous donation,” Gina Stano, executive director of the Cancer Support Community, said.

The offerings will be used to fund the Wig Salon. This free program provides wigs for all individuals experiencing hair loss due to cancer treatments to regain self-confidence. Trained professionals are available for fittings on Tuesdays and Wednesdays by appointment only.

The Wig Salon is one of the many support services available through the Cancer Support Community to help survivors, caregivers, and families impacted by cancer regain control of their lives, reduce stress and isolation, and restore hope for a better quality of life.

“We believe that community is stronger than cancer, and the donation from the residents and staff at Traditions of Hanover is proof,” Stano said.
