Mr. Klinenberg wrote the viral piece “To Restore Civil Society, Start With the Library” (New York Times) as well as the highly acclaimed book Palaces for the People, a love letter to public libraries and a powerful argument for the civic value of social infrastructure. He is sure to have a great deal to say about the times we are living in and the role libraries can play. BAPL Director Josh Berk and BAPL board member Joyce Hinnefeld will also be part of this symposium. See the full program here.
