A Memory, A Monologue, A Rant and A Prayer

V-Day Bethlehem today announces a series of performances of “A Memory, A Monologue, A Rant and A Prayer” and “The Vagina Monologues” between March 15 and April 21 in Bethlehem and Allentown to raise awareness and funds to help stop violence against women and girls.

Through a series of monologues from the Eve Ensler and Mollie Doyle plays, Lehigh Valley women, girls and a few men will introduce audiences to issues and emotions that explore the realities and consequences of violence against women.

“The women, girls and men who have volunteered their time, talent and dedication to this cause are all remarkable performers,” says director and co-event organizer Kate Hughes. “Too many of us have known domestic violence in our lives or the lives of loved ones. We want to use this forum - and these talented artists - to shine a light on a crime all too often hidden in the shadows.”
