The American Cancer Society will be holding their third cancer prevention study, (CPS-3) at the Easton Relay For Life. CPS-3 is a long term study that helps to determine links between lifestyle, environmental, and genetic factors that cause or prevent cancer. The study will begin at the relay where participants will get body measurements taken, give a blood sample, and answer a survey. Over the next 20-30 years, participants will periodically fill out surveys to maintain a current database. The previous CPS studies have found the links between smoking and lung cancer, and a healthy lifestyle and cancer prevention.
To help make the CPS-3 study a success, we are asking for your help. We need volunteers between the ages of 30 and 65 who have never had cancer to participate in this study. Every participant in this study gets us one step closer to finding a cure. It is a great way to fight back.
