Double dance: swing dancing with instruction by great teacher Con Gallagher 3:30 to 6:00 p.m. followed, optionally, by pot luck dinner. Then contra dancing 7 - 10:30. The band for both: the remarkable Brooklyn Swing Ensemble. You don't need to bring a partner. Contras: Informal, sociable partner dancing with live acoustic music and a dance caller. Come at 7 to learn the calls/moves and ease right into the dancing at 7:30. Newcomers, singles, couples, families, ages 7-77 welcome. Presentable partners available on site.
