"Jazz & Pop Ensembles Concert" presented by The Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts

The very prestigious instrumental music department at The Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts presents this exciting concert of jazz music.

Take high school out of the description, and you will feel like you are at one of the finest jazz performances you have ever seen.

This concert showcases the award winning instrumental music department as students perform in small ensembles from the Pop and Jazz ensemble classes led by Dr. Frank DiBussolo and Mr. Greg Eicher. 

Dr. DiBussolo has been a professional musician since 1965 playing with legends; Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Diana Ross, Diane Carroll, and Bob Hope.  As a soloist he has been featured with the bands of Buddy Rich, Dizzy Gillespie, Art Blakey, Bucky Pizzarelli, Howard Alden, Lester Lannin and more.

Greg Eicher’s professional music career began in Kansas City in 1980 when he began playing with such prominent musicians as Dizzy Gillespie, Mose Allison, Eddie Harris, Jimmy Witherspoon, and toured with Eddie “Cleanhead” Vincent.After touring the United States and Japan with the Glenn Miller Orchestra, Greg settled in Los Angeles in 1988. In LA, Greg performed with such well-known jazz artists as Jack Sheldon, Les McCann, Ross Tomkins, Barbara Morrison, Cybill Shepard, Conti Candoli, Betty Bryant, Anita O’Day, Robert Lamm, Niki Harris, and Lanie Kazan.

Their influence is evident when you see the high caliber performances of the students. Come and enjoy an evening of great jazz featuring the music of Horace Silver.
