Students from 23 local schools join together to perform at The Kimmel Center during the Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts

The Butterfly Project features the play, I Never Saw Another Butterfly by Celeste Raspanti and tells thestory of the children of Terezin, a concentration camp during the Holocaust. This season, 37 youngactors visited 40 schools, places of worship, community and senior centers throughout the GreaterPhiladelphia Area. All of the children involved with The Butterfly Project will take the stage togetherduring the PIFA performances to commemorate Holocaust Remembrance Day 2013.



Monday, April 8th 7:30pm
Michael Herskovitz, a survivor of Auschwitz, will speak following the performance thanks to Wolf PAC’spartnership with the Holocaust Awareness Museum and Education Center. Playwright Celeste Raspantiwill speak after the performance.



Tuesday, April 9th 7:30pm
Children who have witnessed The Butterfly Project through the tour will join the cast on stage for thefinal moments of the play. Playwright Celeste Raspanti will speak after the performance.
