Featuring classic retro fashions from PHYLLIS, models will show us what is apropos for a Broadway show, shopping in the Big Apple and even a sophisticated metropolitan wedding.
Each decade has a distinct style, from the of the flapper styles of the 1920s and the bobby socks and poodle skirts of the 1950s to the mod bell-bottoms of the 1970s, models will show off these fashions as they take us on a journey through a Day in the City.
Music of New York City, from jazz to blues to Broadway, will be performed by Becky Owens, organist at Central Moravian Church. A sumptuous lunch of tea sandwiches, Moravian sugar cake and a sparkling cider toast will be served.
Tickets are $30 and may be purchased at College Hill Moravian Church, 72 W. Laurel St.; Edgeboro Moravian Church, 645 Hamilton Ave.; and Central Moravian, 73 W. Church St., all Bethlehem; and at PHYLLIS, 12 Sitgreaves St., Easton.
Proceeds will benefit the on-going mission work in Nepal through the Nepali Moravian Outreach Ministry.
