Knights get food to those in need, on Thanksgiving and all year long
15 large turkeys and all the fixings were delivered to local families in need by Knights of Columbus of Sacred Heart Church of Bethlehem PA
On the day before Thanksgiving 2022 (Nov. 23), members of the Knights of Columbus Council 15682 at Sacred Heart Church of Bethlehem PA delivered 15 complete Thanksgiving "baskets" - including large turkeys and all the fixings - to Sacred Heart Church of Allentown.
The large food donation was coordinated by the men of Council 15682 and made possible thanks to the support and donations from local parishioners and ShopRite of Bethlehem Twp., PA.
The delivery came just in time for local volunteers to bring the food directly to families with the most need so they could prepare their own full Thanksgiving meal for the holiday.

In addition to the 15 turkey baskets delivered at Thanksgiving, the Knights at Sacred Heart of Bethlehem coordinated with Father Frans Berkhout to run a food drive at their church on the first weekend of every month. By the end of 2022, approximately 4,000 pounds of non-perishable foods will be delivered by the Knights to the local branch of Catholic Charities, which operates soup kitchens and food pantries in the Allentown Diocese of the Catholic Church.
