Mulch, Compost Available For Pick-Up At Bethlehem Yard Waste Facility Beginning May 28

Mayor Bob Donchez announced today that mulch and compost will be available for pick-up and loading beginning Thursday May 28, 2020.

The materials will be available Monday through Saturday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The facility will be closed on Sundays.

People wishing to utilize the facility are required to wear a mask for their safety as well as the safety of City employees. People not wearing a mask will not be permitted to enter the facility.

Please see additional information below:

  • Hours of operation: Monday through Saturday 9 am to 3 pm, closed Sundays.
  • If hand loading, you will be permitted to load up to 3-30 gallon containers.
  • If require more than 3-30 gallon containers, loader services available for $10 per bucket full-CASH only.
  • Upon completion of loading, material must be tarped prior to leaving the facility.
  • You must be a qualified resident of the City of Bethlehem, Hanover Township (Northampton County) and the Borough of Fountain Hill to utilize the Bethlehem Yard Waste Facility.
  • Qualified residents will be asked to provide a valid ID along with compost card or proof of residency.
  • Masks must be worn at all times while at the Bethlehem Yard Waste Facility. You will be turned away if you (or your occupant) do not wear a mask.
  • Rental vehicles larger than a standard size pick-up truck will need authorization prior to arriving at the facility. Contact the Recycling Bureau office for authorization: (610) 865-7082, press option 3 before you go to the facility.
  • Commercial type vehicles and dual axle trailers are not permitted at the Bethlehem Yardwaste Facility.
  • If you need assistance loading/unloading materials, you are encouraged to bring someone with you to assist in this process.
  • Please be advised that there may be extended wait times and longer than usual lines so your patience will be greatly appreciated.
