'Parade of Shamrocks' Rolls Through Bethlehem

Hundreds line the downtown streets for first-ever St. Patrick's Day event

Irish spirit filled the air as hundreds of people from all over the region visited historic downtown Bethlehem to watch the first ever St. Patrick's Day Parade on Sat., March 12.

Silly hats, shiny beads, painted faces and boldly-colored hair added to the festive mood of the event. Bagpipes and Irish accents could be heard throughout the afternoon.

The spring-like weather motivated visitors from as far as New Jersey to travel to Bethlehem for the event.
