Photos: Civil War Extravaganza Played Outdoors
Touchstone Theater's Civil War show played at 5 outdoor venues in Bethlehem.
The pensive title "A Resting Place" doesn't capture the color, pomp, energy and ingenuity of Touchstone Theater's performed at five outdoor venues across Bethlehem over the weekend.
The original play included musicians, soldiers, dancers, singers, acrobats and a life-size elephant puppet in the culmination of a three-year project to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the War Between the States.
Directed by Christopher Shorr, "A Resting Place" featured an 1800s showman named Dan Rice who brings his travelling show to town and discovers how Bethlehem was affected by the Civil War.
