Allentown, PA.  Parents
and students of the Allentown public schools will present a giant year-end
Report Card, in Spanish and English, to Robert E. Smith, President of the
Allentown School District (ASD), at the ASD administrative offices at 31 South
Penn Street. Allentown, PA at about 12:45PM on Thursday, June 19, 2014.  A 12:00 Noon News Conference will precede
their March to ASD headquarters to present the Report Card.

The Report
Card rates the performance of the ASD Board on critical areas impacting the
quality of education for students in Allentown public schools, including:
Financial Management, Diversity, and Academic Achievement.

“Presentation
of this Report Card signals the beginning of a new era of accountability for
the Allentown School District,” said Gerardo Calderon, organizer for Campaign
for Change.  “Parents, students and
community leaders are uniting to demand measurable improvement.”
