See Civil War Play Outdoors This Weekend

Civil War play to be performed outdoors at five Bethlehem venues

A play about people who lived and died in Bethlehem during the Civil War will take to outdoor venues across the city for five performances this weekend.

"A Resting Place" produced by Touchstone Theater in conjunction with Moravian College concludes the Historic Bethlehem Partnership's commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the War Between the States.

The weather looks like it might cooperate with warmer temperatures but a chance of showers both Saturday and Sunday.

Performances will be held:

  • 6 p.m. Friday at the Moravian College North Campus, Priscilla Payne Hurd Academic Complex Patio, West Locust and Main Streets.
  • 1 p.m. Saturday at the South Bethlehem Greenway, 300th block between Polk and Taylor Streets
  • 6 p.m. Saturday at Lehigh University on the lawn outside Packer Chapel
  • 1 p.m. Sunday at , East Church and New Streets
  • 6 p.m. Sunday in the Colonial Industrial Quarter, Old York and Ohio Road
