St. Luke's Needs More Time for Road Project

St. Luke's University Hospital says it needs more time to reach an agreement with Norfolk Southern Railroad before it relocates Riverside Drive.

 

The Salisbury Township Commissioners unanimously granted an extension for their $15 million .

Attorney Erich Schock, of Fitzpatrick, Lentz & Bubba said St. Luke's is still negotiating with Norfolk Southern and needs more time.

"Without Norfolk Southern, we can't move forward, " said Schock.

The extension granted for the plan expires in June 2013.

"Sometimes progress moves slowly, " said Commissioner President James Brown.

St. Luke's is expected to update Salisbury Township on any new developments.
