The State to Hold Classic Rock 'N' Roll Sock Hop

Girls, put on your saddle shows and
poodle skirt! Guys, grab your bowling shirt or leather jacket! On Saturday, June
7 at 1 p.m. bring the kids or grandkids to be entertained by James Hummel and Lorri Woodward
performing high-energy Rock-N-Roll songs from the ‘50s and ‘60s at The State Theatre, 61 N. Reading Ave.

Thanks to an
anonymous donor, the first 15 children (ticket
holders age 12 and under) to this show will receive a FREE pass to the all-ages
entertainment show on July 12.

“I worked at The State as a kid,” the donor
said. The life-long Boyertown resident said he wanted to do something “for the
unfortunate kids,” the ones who need a place to go and hang out. And he hopes
his contribution to the theatre would inspire others to contribute.
