Union Soldiers March off to end Civil War Camp
Reenactors show what was like in 1861.
A Civil War Encampment sponsored by the Historic Bethlehem Parnership wrapped up today with troop drills and demonstrations of life in the 1860s. Against the backdrop of the Colonial Industrial Quarter, the 153rd Pennsyvania Volunteers marched off to board the train to Harrisburg after receiving a regimental flag from the ladies of Bethlehem.
Unfortunately, President Abraham Lincoln, portrayed by Bob Costello, was unable to review the troops before their departure due to his wife's illness.
The encampment marks the 150th anniversary of the start of the Civil War.
