Viewfinder: Northampton County Special Olympics
Everyone was a winner at this annual event held this year at Frank Banko Field in Bethlehem.
More than 200 children from across Northampton County participated in the Special Olympics annual outdoor track and field event at Frank Banko Field in Bethlehem on Thursday. The late Al Senavitis, for 40 years a volunteer with the Special Olympics, was memorialized during the event. During opening ceremonies, a new scholarship was named in Senavitis's honor. His wife, Gloria, accepted a plaque in his memory.
The Lehigh County Special Olympics track and field event is scheduled to be held this morning at 9 a.m. at Whitehall Area High School.
