• Firefighters rescue dog, owner from quarry in Berks County (6abc.com) — A dog and its owner had to be rescued after getting stuck about 60 feet down a steep quarry embankment off Pleasant Hill Road in Blandon. Firefighters used rope rescue equipment to safely reach them, and both are reported to be okay.
