• Blood drive to honor fallen Berks police officer (pottsmerc.com subscription) — A Pottstown blood drive is honoring Central Berks Regional police Officer Kristen Yeager, a Boyertown resident who died in a May crash while responding to a call. Through Aug. 14, donors can give blood at Life Plasma Blood Centers, with all units supporting local hospitals and each completed donation triggering a financial contribution to Yeager’s family.
