• SEPTA To Replace Norristown High Speed Line Trains With Shuttle Buses Aug. 1-Dec. 19 (wmgk.com) — SEPTA riders in Bridgeport should prepare for months of shuttle buses replacing trains on parts of the Norristown High Speed Line while the Bridgeport Viaduct undergoes major structural work from Aug. 1 to Dec. 19. Service patterns will shift several times, with bus links between Norristown Transit Center, Bridgeport Station, and Gulph Mills, so commuters should check updated schedules before traveling. 
• Briggs supports legislation addressing unconstitutional sentencing (pahouse.com) — Bridgeport residents are represented in Harrisburg by Rep. Tim Briggs, who is backing a major overhaul of Pennsylvania’s second-degree murder sentencing in response to a recent state Supreme Court ruling. The bill would end automatic life-without-parole, expand parole eligibility after 30 years, and add education, vocational, and compassionate-release reforms while keeping public safety considerations central.
