
Harcum College has appointed Lisa Yang and Karl A. Thallner to its Board of Trustees.
Lisa Yang of Rosemont, PA is a retired investment banker/strategic planner who has previously worked at Investec/PMG Capital, The Philadelphia Stock Exchange, Lehman Brothers and First Boston Group. A graduate of Cornell University and Columbia University Graduate School of Business, she is active in local philanthropic initiatives and serves on the Barnes Foundation Arboretum Advisory Board, the Board of Trustees of The Devereux Foundation, the Board of Trustees of The Philadelphia History Museum at the Atwater Kent, and the Cornell University Trustee Council and Cornell University ILR Advisory Council. She is also a Columbia University Graduate School of Business Ambassador.
Karl A. Thallner of Rydal, PA is an attorney and partner at Reed Smith, LLC in Philadelphia. A graduate of Gettysburg College, Carnegie Mellon University and the Dickinson School of Law at Pennsylvania State University, he is an expert in health care regulatory law and a member of the firm’s Life Sciences Health Industry Group. His practice focuses on providing business and regulatory advice to diverse clients in the healthcare industry, with particular emphasis on hospitals, health systems and academic medical centers. Thallner was named a “Pennsylvania Super Lawyer” by Pennsylvania Super Lawyers magazine 2004-2010. Additionally, Thallner is a member of the American Bar Association (Health Law Section), the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the New Jersey Bar Association (Health and Hospital Law Section), and Philadelphia Bar Association (Health Law Committee).
