Bryn Mawr's Fulbright Scholars Go Global

Seven students received Fulbright Scholarships this year, making one of the top schools, a release on the school's website stated.

Bryn Mawr ranks 14th in the number of awards given to students, the release continued, adding that more than half of the school's applicants received awards, giving the college a higher success rate than any other school on the list.

The Fulbright Program, according to its website, "is an international educational exchange program sponsored by the U.S government and is designed to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries."

Bryn Mawr students were awarded research grants and English teaching assistantships. The grants will fund research in clean energy in Sweden, the state of cinema in Berlin and allowing one student to teach English in Mexico.
